The Best Trips to Take in The Fall

The Best Trips to Take in The Fall

Posted by Starla Gunter on

The fall is fast approaching, and with it comes sweaters, pumpkin spice-flavored treats, and tons of travel benefits. Why not spend the upcoming fall exploring new places and cultures? Most people are inclined to travel during the summer, but traveling during the fall comes with several benefits.

A few of these benefits include milder weather, cheaper travel fares, popular destinations that are less crowded, gorgeous scenery, and tasty seasonal food. These benefits alone make fall travel all the more appealing. Enjoying the changing of the leaves' colors, fall festivals, and other fall attractions is a great way to spend the next few months of the year.

Check out three of our favorite fall destinations that are sure to create a fun, festive, adventurous fall to remember.

1. Montreal, Quebec

The amazing changing colors of the leaves can be witnessed throughout the beautiful city of Montreal. Mount Royal, a mountain that was actually a volcano 125 million years ago, is now a popular outdoor hub in the city of Montreal. The park surrounding the mountain was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted and Calvert Vaux, the same men who designed Central Park. Mount Royal and the park surrounding it are filled with foliage that changes into stunning shades of red, orange, and yellow with the turn of the season.

Montreal is home to several different film festivals that take place during the fall months. A few of these include the Montreal Independent Film Festival, the International Documentary Festival in November, and image+nation. Seeing your favorite new films before the Oscars is an exciting prospect.

While exploring the striking natural landscape of Montreal, or walking around different festivals, it can add an extra bit of fun to track your steps with your favorite fitness watch. At Groove Life, we want you to be as comfortable as possible while you’re fall-time adventuring. We have a wide range of comfortable fitness watch bands that will improve your experience while exploring Montreal.

2. The Grand Canyon National Park

The mild weather that comes during the fall in the canyon creates the perfect climate for exploring this other-worldly national park. Spending a few fall days hiking around the gorgeous red-rock scenery is sure to fill your cup. The thinner crowds typically associated with fall at the Grand Canyon create an especially serene and peaceful atmosphere.

With the sun setting earlier in the later months of the year, you’ll be likely to witness a simply breathtaking Grand Canyon sunset. As you watch the sunset over the Grand Canyon, there will be no question in your mind as to why it is one of the seven wonders of the world.

While you’re exploring the Grand Canyon this fall, losing your wedding ring while on a hike would sure put a damper on your experience. Groove Life offers a solution to this dilemma by offering a range of silicone rings that you can wear during your adventures instead of your expensive ring.

3. Salem, Massachusetts

Salem, Massachusetts, home of the witch trials in the late 1600s, is a super fun destination to enjoy this fall season. October is the best month to book your trip to Salem because of all the spooky, Halloween activities that will be taking place.

For all the fall foodies out there, there are so many delicious destinations to visit throughout the city of Salem. The Tavern at Hawthorne Hotel is a fan favorite. The Hawthorne Hotel is considered one of the most haunted locations in town. However, if you aren’t up for a spooky dining experience, the Tavern itself has more of a classic, New England vibe rather than that of a haunted house.

Walking tours are a great way to spend your time learning about the history of Salem, and are a perfectly characteristic fall activity. Walking tours will help you immerse yourself in the culture of the city. Be sure to wear your Groove Belt on the day of your walking tour to ensure you have the most comfortable experience possible.
