Kryptek, a technical hunting line with military tactical attributes, was founded by Butch Whiting and Josh Cleghorn, after serving together in Ninewa, Providence in Northern Iraq. In addition to country, family and the military, the soldiers shared a common passion for big game hunting in severe environments, specifically requiring maximum physical and mental exerting by the hunter. Groove is honored to have an exclusive partnership with Kryptek. We are so excited to be launching two of their most popular licensed patterns, Typhon and Highlander.
Kryptek Typhon
Typhon, Kryptek’s CAMO pattern is best known for night concealment. Hunters wear Typhon because even a hint of moonlight won’t dispel your location, as the design is created to mimic interchanging light and dark hues.
According to Greek legend, Typhon, “Father of all Monsters,” was the most deadly mythical creature. With 100 snakeheads atop his main head, Typhon was a giant so tall that his head touched the stars. His torso was that of a man’s, but his legs were coils of vipers that would hiss and attack as he moved. His main head had on it 100 snakeheads who would make different sounds of animals. With glowing red eyes, Typhon had a savage jaw that breathed fire, a body covered with wings, and hands made up of 100 snake coils just like his legs.
